La serata è iniziata alle 22:00 ora italiana con la presentazione della mostra fotografica Café Society: il bar, allestito in brand Sanpellegrino, era già pieno da circa una mezz’ora e il pubblico, a sentirli parlare, era un buon mix: inglesi e italiani, soprattutto.
Erano presenti anche alcuni giornalisti delle più importanti testate in-world, tra cui The AvaStar. E ovviamente anche tutti gli amici del Delos BookClub, incluso il mitico Homer.
Di seguito gli ospiti sono stati invitati a spostarsi a bordo piscina per il pool party, con musica lounge e un simpatico barman. Mentre si ballava, i padroni di casa ci hanno raccontato le varie iniziative: il lancio della Mappa delle Stelle, il navigatore per i migliori bar di Second Life, e la creazione del gruppo Map of Stars che servirà per promuovere gli eventi successivi.
I regalini in brand – una collanina a stella, un tatuaggio e un bel bicchiere “di Murano” – sono andati a ruba: già durante la serata si vedevano gli ospiti con le stelline Sanpellegrino al collo. Me compresa 
Verso l’una del mattino ora italiana il ritmo della serata è andato un po’ scemando e allora hanno tirato fuori l’arma segreta: il simpatico barman in realtà era Phar Hand, uno dei migliori live-DJ di Second life!
Nel giro di mezz’ora il volume è salito e la festa si è movimentata parecchio: è arrivata un sacco di gente nuova, quasi tutti stranieri. Quando ho staccato, alle tre e mezzo ora italiana, c’erano ancora 30 persone che festeggiavano intorno alla piscina l’ingresso in grande stile di Sanpellegrino su Second Life.

The Sanpellegrino Café Society Vernissage began at 10PM Italian time, with the opening of the Café Society photo exhibition. The bar was packed with people: British, French, some Germans and of course, many Italians flowing in from the Parioli SIM next door. It looked like a pretty sophisticated audience, very “Sanpellegrino style”, and the overall design of the bar was incredibly stylish.
The Sanpellegrino people introduced the photo exhibition, which seemed very interesting, and, about half an hour later, we were invited to move on to the pool party, out in the garden. By the pool there was a small bar with a friendly bartender, lots of Sanpellegrino bottles and a dancing area where we danced to the sound of lounge music. The walls were decorated with beautiful historical Sanpellegrino posters from the adv campaigns of the ‘50.
While we enjoyed the party, the Sanpellegrino people announced the launch of the Map of Stars HUD, a device that allows bar-hopping in the best SL bars chosen by Sanpellegrino. I also got some very nice branded gifts: a necklace with a Sanpellegrino glass star and two star tattoos, + a SL Murano glass. The necklace was around my neck in no time, and so was the tat… on my lower back
The evening at the pool party went on nicely until 1AM, then the rhythm began to dwindle a little. But they had a secret weapon, hidden in plain sight: the handsome bartender I’d been talking to for some time was no less than Phar Hand, one of the best live DJs in Second Life!
So the music changed, the volume went up and a lot of new people arrived in a matter of minutes. And the party went wild
When I logged out, at 3:30 AM Italian time, there were still 30 people dancing around the pool, enjoying Phar’s live set and celebrating Sanpellegrino’s entrance in Second Life.

Salve sono l’amico del Delos BookClub che mancava… Ieri modem in sciopero proprio dalle 22. Pazienza, tanto nelle land affollate io non riesco a muovermi. Almeno l’ondata di caldo è passata, stare al computer è tornato ad essere possibile.
